CardTapp 102: Session 1 - Sharing Best Practices Follow
CardTapp 102
Best Practices (Sharing)
This is the first session in our second module that covers the best practices that many of our most successful members utilize. We recommend completing the first module (CardTapp 101) before beginning this one. We want you to be wildly successful with your new app, so please reach out (support@cardtapp.com) if you have any questions or want to set up time to brainstorm ideas to share or market your app.
For this session, you will need:
- A computer
- Your email application
- Your app link
We reviewed the logistics of sharing in the last session of the first module. In this module, we’re looking at how to be most effective when sharing your app.
The ultimate best practice when it comes to sharing is 1. share with as many people as you can. The more you share, the more you’ll get out of your app. 2. Sharing your app when you’re face-to-face with a prospect or referral partner is ideal - it allows you to walk them through how to share the app and make sure they get it added to their phones. If you can’t share it in person (like during a global pandemic), 3. you definitely want them to know it’s coming. Don’t share your app without any notice; make sure you mention you’re sending it over the phone or via text. Finally, if you can’t share in person, 4. being on the phone while the recipient adds your app to their phone so you can talk them through the app is the next best thing. The big idea here is that you want to communicate how the app is beneficial to them so that they not only add it to their phone but frequently access it as a resource.
That leads us to our next best practice of making sure that you understand and communicate the value for each of the groups you’re sharing with. This means you’ll likely want to draft out a share script that incorporates a benefit statement based on the audience you’re sharing with. Here are some examples when considering your in-app mortgage calculator. This tool helps:
Realtors provide valuable information to their customers ultimately resulting in increased sales and revenue.
“My app has tools and resources that can help you show off your expertise in the industry and shorten your sales cycle.”
Leads access convenient tools during their home buying process.
“The home buying process can be so stressful! My app provides important tools all in one place so you can streamline your research.”
Existing Customers know whether refinancing their home will save them money - without needing to call you to run the numbers for them.
“With my app, you’ll always know how to get in touch with me, and you can run your own payment scenarios with my calculators whenever you want.”
The final sharing-related best practice in this session is adding your app link to your email signature. This is a great way to make sure that everyone you communicate with on a regular basis knows about your new app. Simply paste your app link and a call to action in your email signature.
