Sustaining Value (Habit Creation)
You’ve made it! This is the last module in the CardTapp self-guided training. This module focuses on setting yourself up for long-term success with the CardTapp solution. Look for additional sessions added to this module after we compile some best practices from you and your colleagues. We’ll present those later on. For now, let’s look at how you can maximize the likelihood of success with the CardTapp solution.
If you’ve completed the training tasks as you've worked through these training modules, you should be comfortable sharing your app, and you hopefully understand that things like:
- sharing frequently
- monitoring Tapper activity
- establishing strong co-branding with key referral partners
are paramount to success with the CardTapp solution. If you aren’t familiar with those things, they’re available for review.
The key of sustaining the value and efficacy of your CardTapp solution is incorporating it into your daily routines. You’ve probably heard that it takes something like 21 days to form a new habit, which is true for extremely simple additions to your daily routines. More complex additions take a little more time - closer to 66 days, but that process speeds up by attached the new habit to something you already do. Consider how you can incorporate your CardTapp app into:
Reviewing your email, LOS platform, and to-do items each morning
It's an ideal time to log in to your desktop dashboard or open up TappTracker to take a look at your app activity from the previous day. It can be an opportunity to look for buying cues and see which potential borrowers or realtor partners you should focus in on during your day.
Adding leads into a CRM
A CRM integration removes the need for you to manually enter new leads generated from CardTapp into your CRM, so when someone shares your digital business card with someone, that lead goes straight into your CRM, likely needing only minimal adjustments.
Handing out a business card
Instead of handing out a paper business card, share your digital business card. Think through what you usually say when you share your card and make adjustments to share your app instead.

Another strategy that can really help your app catch fire is leveraging your referral partners. By continuing to nurture and grow your referral sources through co-branding and sharing insights from your app activity, you can exponentially grow your network. Make sure your co-branding partners are sharing the app and consider providing additional value to them. You can use the Download Tapper Data feature from the dashboard to share information with referral partners. Pay special attention to the referrals they've sent your way and let them know if you notice a sudden uptick in activity. especially with your mortgage calculator.
