How to integrate Cardtapp using Zapier
Updated over a year ago

This guide will walk you through the steps of configuring a webhook in Zapier to integrate CardTapp with any Zapier system. By following the steps outlined below, you'll be able to automatically send data from CardTapp to your CRM or Marketing Software for a seamless user experience.

Step 1: Log in to your Zapier account

To begin, go to the Zapier website and log in to your account. If you don't have an account, you can sign up for an account here

Note: To use webhooks (a requirement for Cardtapp integration), Zapier requires a paid account. Here's a link to Zapier's pricing page.

Step 2: Create a catch webhook

Once you are logged in, click on the "Make a Zap" button in the top right corner. In the "Choose App & Event" section, search for "Webhooks by Zapier" in the search bar and select it. Next, choose the "Catch Hook" trigger event and click on the "Continue" button.

Quick guide on adding a webhook trigger

  1. Click the Trigger step.

  2. Search for and select Webhooks by Zapier.

  3. Click the Event dropdown menu and select your webhook type.

  4. Click Continue.

Step 3: Copy the webhook URL

Zapier will provide you with a unique webhook URL. Click the "Copy" button to copy the URL to your clipboard. You will need this URL to connect CardTapp to Zapier.

Step 4: Log in to CardTapp and create a new webhook

Now, log in to your CardTapp account and navigate to "App Settings" > "Webhooks." Click on the "Create New Webhook" button (aka the plus icon) and choose the "Tapper Created" event.

Paste the webhook URL you copied from Zapier into the designated field

Step 5: Send a test event to Zapier

To ensure that your webhook is working correctly, click on the lightbulb icon next to the webhook you just created in CardTapp. This will send a test event to Zapier.

Step 6: Once you have clicked the lightbulb icon in the Cardtapp Dashboard, navigate back to the Zap Editor window and click "Test trigger"

Step 7: If you see "We found a request," then you can now continue to the next step in setting up your Zapier integration by configuring a Zapier Action step
