Updated over a year ago

Introduction

In this article, we will guide you through the process of configuring a webhook in Zapier to integrate CardTapp with Surefire. By following the steps outlined below, you'll be able to automatically send data from CardTapp to Surefire for a seamless user experience.

Step 1: Log in to your Zapier account

To begin, go to the Zapier website and log in to your account. If you don't have an account, you can sign up for an account here

Note: To use webhooks (a requirement for Cardtapp integration), Zapier requires a paid account. Here's a link to Zapier's pricing page.

Step 2: Create a catch webhook

Once you are logged in, click on the "Make a Zap" button in the top right corner. In the "Choose App & Event" section, search for "Webhooks by Zapier" in the search bar and select it. Next, choose the "Catch Hook" trigger event and click on the "Continue" button.

Step 3: Copy the webhook URL

Zapier will provide you with a unique webhook URL. Click the "Copy" button to copy the URL to your clipboard. You will need this URL to connect CardTapp to Zapier.

Step 4: Log in to CardTapp and create a new webhook

Now, log in to your CardTapp account and navigate to "App Settings" > "Webhooks." Click on the "Create New Webhook" button (aka the plus icon) and choose the "Tapper Created" event.

Paste the webhook URL you copied from Zapier into the designated field

Step 5: Send a test event to Zapier

To ensure that your webhook is working correctly, click on the lightbulb icon next to the webhook you just created in CardTapp. This will send a test event to Zapier.

Step 6: Load the test event in Zapier

Return to Zapier and click on the "Test Trigger" button to load the test event you just sent from CardTapp. Once the test event is successfully loaded, click on the "Continue" button to proceed.

Step 7: Create a new step for Surefire and connect your account

In the "Choose App & Event" section, search for "Surefire" and select it. Choose your desired action event (e.g., "Create Contact") and click on the "Continue" button. You will then be prompted to connect your Surefire account by entering your API Key. Click on the "Sign in to Surefire" button, enter your API Key, and click "Yes, Continue."

Step 8: Follow the steps from Surefire to complete

Lastly, configure the Surefire action by mapping the required fields from CardTapp to Surefire. Once you have completed the field mapping, click on the "Continue" button. Test your new action by clicking on the "Test & Continue" button. If the test is successful, click on the "Turn on Zap" button to activate your integration.

You have now successfully configured a webhook in Zapier to integrate CardTapp with Surefire. This integration will enable you to streamline your data transfer process between the two platforms, improving your overall efficiency and user experience.
